  Edna Walling was one of Australia's great landscape designers. She’s co-authored and co-photographed two books on Walling and her gardens (Gardens in Time and The Vision of Edna Walling, both with Trisha Dixon), worked as a planting designer for landscape architect Michael Bligh, and has been a presenter on ABC TV’s Gardening Australia. Edna Walling was born in England in She moved with her family to New Zealand, and later to Australia, during her teen years. After studying horticulture at Burnley College in Melbourne, she first worked as a gardener but began to be employed by architects as a garden : Edna Walling.   She headed to the State Library of Victoria, where Walling's original garden plans for Eurambeen were held, and pored over correspondence between Walling and the Beggs family.
